Job Description
The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, with opportunities for the faculty member to develop on-line courses, if they choose to do so. The desired candidate for this position should be able to teach a variety of courses in criminal justice, including Introduction to Criminal Justice and Senior Seminar in Criminal Justice, as well as the expertise and ability to teach courses in at least three of the following areas – law enforcement, American judicial process, criminal law, or crime victims. There will also be ample opportunities for the faculty member to develop and teach other electives based on their interest/expertise and student demand. In addition to their teaching duties, full-time faculty are expected to serve on a standing committee of the Faculty Assembly and serve as an academic adviser to our majors.

Requirements
A Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology is required; candidates who are ABD will be considered, if the candidate is able to complete all degree requirements within two years of appointment.
